Students looking for their next move after year 11 are invited to find out what is on offer at Penrith’s Ullswater Community College.

The vibrant, ambitious and caring school in the heart of Penrith provides its students with all the support they need to achieve their next step, no matter what that may be.

Recognised as a significant strength by Ofsted, the sixth form has an ambitious choice of subjects, outstanding achievement and exceptional pastoral care.

Ofsted also highlighted the sixth form’s comprehensive programme of careers education, information, advice and guidance which results in aspirational students who are well informed about their post-18 options.

Students at Ullswater Community College’s sixth form have the opportunity to undertake numerous leadership roles and contribute to the rich and dynamic environment that makes the school special.

Its autumn term included a sixth form trip to CERN in Geneva, where students learnt about the Large Hadron Collider.

The students of Ullswater Community College excel on a daily basis, whether that be their academic successes or through the enrichment opportunities they are afforded.

From starting high quality apprenticeships with national employers to successfully securing places at the best universities, from excelling at the UK Maths Trust Competition to becoming British National Gymnastic finalists and county champions – our students are breaking records on a daily basis.

Running, composing, essay writing, volunteering or Cumberland & Westmorland Wrestling – there’s a place for everyone at Ullswater Community College’s sixth form.

Others are travelling the world, be that through the Operation Wallacea expedition to Madagascar or the ski trip to the French Alps – not to mention nearly 200 Duke of Edinburgh participants and the newly formed Cadet Force, one of only 500 in the UK.

Ullswater Community College says there really is something for everyone.

The deadline for applications for Ullswater Community College sixth form is Friday, January 30.

For more information, contact Rob Jackson, head of sixth form, via [email protected], call 01768 210206 or visit www.ullswatercc.co.uk
