The A590 was closed yesterday following a serious collision.
The road was closed between the B5277 Meathop roundabout at Lindale and Cartmel Lane at High Newton.
The incident was reported at around 5.05pm yesterday, Thursday January 22.
Initially both lanes were closed but the eastbound carriageway reopened at around 6.50pm.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the scene.
