A Carlisle road will be closed due to an unsafe structure.
Collier Lane, which runs from the short stay car park at Carlisle Railway Station to Crown Street, is affected.
The road will be closed from the exits of the station car park and the Station Hotel car park to Crown Street from today, Friday January 23.
There will be no access past these points.
No fire escapes within the closed area will be obstructed, the authority added.
It has asked all road users and pedestrians to follow the diversion signs and not pass through barriers.
