Nominations have opened for Kendal’s Wainwright Achievement Award, which recognises exceptional contributions to the town and its community.
Organised by Kendal Town Council, the award is presented each year to an individual, group, club, association, society, or other local organisation – excluding political bodies – that has made a significant positive impact on Kendal.
This may include enhancing the town’s reputation, improving the wellbeing of its residents, or delivering meaningful community benefit.
The winner will receive £250.
Richard Sutton, mayor of Kendal, said: “This award celebrates the people and organisations who go above and beyond for Kendal. We encourage residents to put forward those whose dedication, creativity, or community spirit deserves recognition.”
To nominate a recipient, people are asked to complete the nomination form and send it to [email protected] by Friday March 20.
