Work to resurface a section of the M6 in Cumbria is set to start on Monday.
National Highways said it will carry out improvements to all northbound lanes between Junction 41 at the Catterlen Interchange and Junction 42 at south Carlisle.
Work will be carried out overnight from 8pm to 6am and is expected to be completed in April.
Highways England said: “Occasionally, we’ll need to run traffic over the junction 41 roundabout. There will also be some daytime activity at the beginning and end of the scheme to remove and reinstate asphalt kerbing.
“We’re carrying out the majority of improvements overnight to keep disruption to a minimum when traffic levels are at their lowest.”
It added that the work may generate some noise and it apologised in advance for any disturbance it may cause.
