Plans to transform Millom’s Market Square have been revealed.
The Millom Town Deal is asking people for their views about two options for the area.
It said it could create a new community space within the square for local events and would see the bus drop-off relocated just outside the area.
Or, it said, it could carry out improvement work to the existing square, to allow buses and other vehicles to enter and exit via separate points.
Both options would keep a similar number of parking spaces, it added.
A drop-in event will be held at the Story Contracting project office at Market Square, on Tuesday February 3 from 4pm to 8pm and on Tuesday February 10 between 1pm and 5pm.
Project team members will be on hand to answer questions and listen to feedback.
David Savage, chair of Millom Town Deal Board, said: “We invite everyone in the community to take part in this engagement process and share their perspectives.

“This is a special opportunity for local residents to help shape the future of Millom’s Market Square, ensuring it continues to meet the needs of our town for years to come. Your input will play a crucial role in guiding the direction of this important space at the heart of our community.”
Visuals will remain on display for two weeks from Monday February 2.
An online survey will be available between Tuesday February 3 and Tuesday February 17 at https://consult.cumberland.gov.uk/
