Millom continued their recent revival with another good win in the West Lancashire League’s Premier Division.
They came from behind to beat CMB 3-1 with three late goals and move up to sixth in the table.
The south Cumbrians missed a number of chances to take the lead in the first-half and it reached half-time goalless.

It was largely against the run of play when CMB took the lead on 69 minutes through Oliver Turner, but Millom staged a remarkable late burst of scoring.
Theo Wilson levelled on 82 minutes and then the returning Jamie Pattinson edged Millom ahead on his first game of the season after being injured at the end of the previous campaign.
There was more joy for Pattinson when he grabbed his second goal in the second minute of time added on.
Whitehaven are still seeking their second win of the season after going down 4-1 at last season’s champions Tempest United.

But once again there were some positives to take for manager Brian Dawson after they had pulled it back to 2-1 ten minutes into the second-half.
George Frampton scored and minutes later they had another effort cleared off the line, but unfortunately Tempest scored a third on 63 minutes to take charge, although a fourth goal later probably flattered them.
Tom Booth and Nathan Monson had given Tempest their half-time lead and after Whitehaven’s good spell reduced the arrears, Monson scored the home side’s third. Lucas Robinson added the fourth.
Milnthorpe Corinthians contionue to pull away from trouble but left it late to beat Coppull United 2-1.
The experienced Zack Clark scored the winner in the 89th minute after all the goals came in the second-half.
Joe Dickinson gave them the lead five minutes into the second-half but two minutes later Will Hopper levelled for Coppull. It looked like finishing all square until Clark produced an important finish.
In the Richardson Cup Cleator Moor Celtic were beaten by First Division leaders Hesketh Bank, who were a big, physical and direct side.

They had some experienced players in the line-up who dominated and although Celtic were level at the break their young side generally struggled with the visitors’ route one style.
Kevin Edgar had given Hesketh Bank the lead on 40 minutes but Celtic responded well and Rhys Little popped in his fifth goal of the season a minute later.
Although Celtic had a good spell at the start of the second-half they couldn’t score and Josh Brierley put the Bank back in front on 65 minutes with Edgar adding his second ten minutes later.
You can hear what Brian Dawson (Whitehaven) and Gareth Agnew (Celtic) thought of the performances below.
