Police were called to an area of Penrith after a sudden death was reported.
Officers were called at around 7.50am today, Saturday February 7 to the Carleton Avenue area of the town.
Cumbria police said the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The death is being treated as non-suspicious.
Carleton Avenue was closed to traffic while police and other emergency services were at the scene today.
