A Lake District church is among the venues Clara Pople will perform in as part of her upcoming tour.
The Parys Mountain Church Tour – named after Clara’s forthcoming EP – will visit St Mary’s Church in Ambleside on March 25.
Last year was a landmark for the Cumbrian-born performer – she appeared at Glastonbury, had her tracks played on BBC Radio 1’s Introducing and headlined Kendal Calling’s Roots Stage.
This year has already seen her song The Lark win song of the year 2025 by BBC Introducing Cumbria & Lancashire, and the first track from Parys Mountain has been played on Radio 6 Music.
Her latest tour will include churches from Glasgow to Bristol.
She said: “‘My idea for a church tour came about through my love of performing in unusual settings.
“For three years now, I have been hosting gigs on my houseboat in South East London and I’ve learnt that a gig is about so much more than just the music.
“Church settings are always dramatic – and as a former school head chorister, I miss singing in those sacred spaces.
“Ritualism, spiritual intensity, the hottest acoustics in any town – what’s not to love?”
