
In the latest round of matches in the Maryport Sunday Night Darts League Miners Arms travelled to Sun Dial B.
It was the home side that took the lead with Martyn Bell beating Darren Bowe to excite the home crowd.
The reigning champions weren’t down for long though Jason Bowe, Steven Ostle, Mark Sloan and Louie Elliot won four on the spin to set Miners on the way to victory.
Ralph Palmer took the last single as he beat Mark Pearson to make it 4-2 but that was as good as it got for Sun Dial B.
The Miners took all the doubles and trebles to win 9-2.
The closest game of the night saw the form team Glasson Rangers host Sun Dial A and it was the visitors who took the lead.
Andy Skelton took the first before Scott Heaney levelled and then Derek Boardman and Adam Palmer made it 3-1 to Sun Dial.
Anthony Penrice pulled one back to make it 3-2 before Graham Hewitt then took the final single to put Sun Dial 4-2 in front.
Skelton and Willy Richards made it 5-2 to put Dial on the verge of victory but Finlay Maguire and Axel Day made it 5-3 before Penrice & Olly Lowes (180) brought the young side back to 5-4.
However, Skelton, Richards and Boardman took the first treble to secure the victory and put Sun Dial back up to second place in the table, before Glasson took the last to make it 6-5 as the final score.

Silloth Bowling Club took on the Maryport Bowling Club Babes and ran out 10-1 winners as Sandra Hodgson won the only point for the Babes, defeating Ronnie Frith.
Trevor Frith, Joe Porter, Jimmy Pattinson, Dan Redman and Jamie Redman all won singles doubles and trebles to put them joint second with Sun Dial A.
Sun Inn Arrows were away to Elbra Club and they ran out comfortable winners 11-0 on the night.
Kenneth Bowes, Woody Lukeman, Gary Miller, Wayne Southward, Matt and Jamie Glencross were all in top form.
The final game of the week was between Sun Inn A and Maryport Bowling Club A and it was a 10-1 win for the Aspatria side as Ryan Fisher, Ken McCartney, Mark Harrison, Mikey Allan, Jayden Faulder and Zane Alderson all took out their singles.
Fisher and Alderson were the only ones to drop points in the first double as Dan Thompson and Jay Thompson scored the Bowling Club’s point.
