The A66 has reopened after an overnight closure due to snow.
Snow gates were closed in both directions between Brough and Bowes yesterday, Saturday February 15 at 8pm by National Highways in preparation for the heavy snow forecast by the Met Office.
It said crews would work overnight to clear snow from the road and keep the surface treated.
