A Lake District pub has raised over £6,000 for Bay Trust Radio.
The Station Inn in Oxenholme nominated the hospital radio station as its charity of the year.
Staff organised community events and activities, including raffles, spring fun weekend, and bonfire and fireworks, for the charity and raised a total of £6,200.
Bay Trust Radio said the Station Inn’s contribution would support the charity’s ongoing mission to bring comfort and connection through its broadcast services.
Licensee Linda Gentle said: “We are thrilled to have raised such a significant amount for Bay Trust Radio.
“This achievement reflects the incredible generosity of our community and the dedication of our team.
“It’s inspiring to see how much we can accomplish when we come together for a worthy cause.”
John Williamson, chairman of Bay Trust Radio, said: “We are incredibly grateful to The Station Inn and everyone who contributed to this remarkable effort.
“These funds will help us continue to enhance our programming and provide a vital service to those in hospitals and the wider community.”
