
A woman has been seriously injured following an incident on a north Cumbrian A road.
Police were called at around 11.55pm on March 2, after reports that there were concerns for woman on the A689, west of Carlisle.
She was reported as being between the Burgh Road roundabout and the Kingmoor Bridge west roundabout.
The woman was taken to the city’s Cumberland Infirmary with serious injuries.
The road was closed while officers conducted their enquiries and reopened at 7.30am yesterday, March 3.
Police are appealing to anyone in the area between 11pm and midnight on March 2, who may have seen a woman and a white Audi 3 to contact them.
