Drivers are warned that an abnormal load will be transported on the M6 this weekend.
National Highways said supergrid transformers for the National Grid are expected to leave Heysham docks at around 7am.
They will be transported on the northbound carriageway to Harker, near Carlisle, and are estimated to arrive at around 4pm.
Drivers are urged to allow more time for their journeys and have patience when overtaking in lane three.
