West Cumberland Choral Society will perform Handel’s Messiah Parts II & III (The Easter Story) and Zadok the Priest in the beautiful setting of St Bees Priory on Saturday March 28.
Conducted by Margie Simper, the choir will be accompanied by Frank Bowler on harpsichord with a Baroque-style string quintet.
This world famous sacred oratorio showcases a stunning array of arias and choruses.
The Trumpet Shall Sound will reverberate through the church from special guest baritone Nick Simper.
The Hallelujah Chorus will raise the roof and the concert will conclude with the majestic Worthy is the Lamb and Amen Chorus.
Refreshments will be served after the concert.
Tickets £10 (Students £5 and under-18s free) will be available on the door.
Raffle proceeds will be donated to Bowel Cancer UK.
The concert starts at 7pm.
