Workington’s pace bowler Regan Jackson has signed with Northern League club Morecambe for the 2026 season.

The 22-year-old is among a cluster of young players that Morecambe have signed after their promotion to the Northern League’s First Division from the Palace Shield competition.

Announcing the news, the Morecambe club said: “Regan is a talented young fast bowler, and we’re excited to see him in action at Woodhill Lane this summer.

“His pace, energy, and commitment make him a fantastic addition to the squad as we continue to strengthen ahead of the new season in the NPL.

“Regan joins us from Workington CC, where he has spent the past two seasons competing in the Premier Division of the Cumbria Cricket League.

“During that time, he has impressed with consistent performances and has also previously represented Cumbria Development XI.

“Regan is a perfect fit for our 1st XI squad, and we’re confident he’ll make a big impact in 2026.”

Jackson, who works at Sellafield, had a season with Gateshead Fell in the North East in 2023.
