Kells bounced back from their derby defeat to Egremont on opening day with a confident home win over Dewsbury Moor.
The Conference Division One game ended 30-16 to the West Cumbrians to get them on the board for the season.
Their defeat at Egremont had followed a good opening half and a poor follow up after the interval.
The gameplan had been based on turning those wrongs into rights and for the most part it succeeded.
Once again, though, Kells were dominant in the first half and had established a 22-10 lead at the break.

It was a bit tighter in the second-half when Kells shaded it 8-6 but they always had enough in hand to see them over the finish line.
The Kells tries were scored by Harley Nelson (2), Clarke Chambers, Blaine Graham and Dan Starkie with four of them converted by Ross Gainford who added a late penalty to round off the scoring.
The other Division One scores were: Dewsbury Celtic 18, East Leeds 14; Oldham St Anne’s 10, Leigh Miners Rangers 28; Oulton Raiders 14, Stanningley 24; Pilkington Recs 18, wigan St Patricks 30; Shaw Cross Sharks 24, Egremont Rangers 22.
