Firefighters tackled several blazes on Ulverston’s Hoad Hill.
Cumbria Fire & Rescue Service said firefighters from Ulverston Blue Light Hub and Windermere Fire Station were at the scene yesterday, Monday March 23.
They were called at around 2.10pm with a report of a fire in the open.
People were asked to avoid the area surrounding The Hoad while emergency services respond.
