
Seven buses are queueing in traffic jams following a collision on the M6 earlier today.
Stagecoach said due to the collision and a tailback on the A6, it was currently not operating the 104 service from Carlisle as it had seven buses stuck on the route.
It said services were running, but were delayed.
Police were called to the collision at around 1.10pm today, Tuesday April 6, to the incident near Junction 41 at Catterlen, involving a HGV and a Seat Tarraco.
The driver of the HGV was uninjured.
A rear seat occupant of the Seat was taken to hospital via air ambulance with life threatening injuries.
The driver of the Seat was uninjured. Two other occupants suffered minor injuries.
Police are investigating.
A closure remains in place between Junction 41 and Junction 40 at Penrith southbound while investigations are ongoing.
