Workington Comets have confirmed that Troy Batchelor will once again captain the side in 2026.
The 38-year-old will spend his third consecutive season with the Comets this season and captained the side last year.
Workington Speedway promoter Andrew Bain said: “Troy was a fantastic captain last season. What people don’t often see is that even if he is not having the best of nights himself – he will continue to encourage the other riders and help them in the pits, offering advice and support throughout the meeting.
“That is exactly what you want from your captain.
“He leads by example on and off the track and we are delighted to have him back leading the team again in 2026.”
Batchelor has also signed for the Premiership newcomers Northampton Foxes in their debut season.
