Barrow Raiders will be taking nothing for granted when they travel to Rochdale Hornets on Sunday.

The Spotland side are not one of the big names in the Championship but they have won four of their nine games so far and are 10th in the table.

There is just one change from the 21 named for Raiders’ Good Friday victory over Widnes Vikings as Trent Ruddy replaces forward Tom Walker who is out for three weeks.

The Raiders go the game on the back of an excellent 18-6 win over the Vikings and will be looking for a third consecutive league win.

They last met the Hornets in February 2022, with the Raiders progressing through to the fifth round of the Challenge Cup after a 38-12 victory.

Rochdale have a new face in the squad, outside back James Duffy who comes into the mix, having joined the club on a short-term loan from Betfred Super League side Warrington Wolves.

  • Barrow squad: Archer, Bullock, Broadbent, Bishop, Costello, Cresswell, Emslie, Johnston, King, Knott, Makin, Richards, Ritson, Robson, Ruddy, Stack, Teare, Toal, B Walker, Watson, Wood.
  • Rochdale: Ashton, Barratt, Boyd, Dallimore, Dayes, Duffy, Flanagan, Hansen, Kelly-Duffy,  McKier, Metcalfe, Nixon, Paga, Reid, Roby,  Sa’u, Sheridan, Syme, Waterworth, Whitmore, Wood.
