A bid to improve two Carlisle roads to make moving around the city easier has been revealed.
Cumberland Council wants to know how people use The Crescent and Warwick Road to help it shape future plans for improvements.
It said there was no timetable in place for any work, but it was starting preliminary design concepts so it could talk to people about what they want.
The council added: “Any future scheme would aim to create more accessible, people‑friendly streets by improving crossings, clarifying routes, and enhancing public space.
“These types of improvements can help residents and visitors move confidently between key destinations, support healthier lifestyles, and provide better access to employment, education, healthcare, and cultural venues.
“By encouraging more inclusive and sustainable travel choices, Active Travel upgrades also have the potential to strengthen the city centre, increase footfall, and support economic activity.”
A drop-in event will be held at The Mail Exchange at the Halston on Wednesday, April 15, between 3pm and 6pm for people to give their views.
