Two young people were made to carry out a litter pick in Whitehaven after an incident when sports centre staff had things thrown at them.
Copeland police said the young people were taking part in a community resolution – to give back to the community they had impacted.
Officers said it followed a recent incident at Whitehaven Sports Centre, when the youngsters were abusive towards the staff and threw objects at them.
Copeland Police added: “We would like to remind everyone that our local businesses and leisure centres are places for everyone to enjoy safely.
“Abusive behaviour towards staff who are simply doing their job is completely unacceptable, and we will continue to take action against those involved.”
