A cow who became stuck in the mud in Haweswater had to be rescued by firefighters.
Wild Haweswater said crews from Penrith and Shap attended the incident yesterday, Monday May 4, to help its RSPB conservation grazing team.
Wild Haweswater said: “One of our cows had got stuck in a wet corner of a field and we’re so grateful for the muscle-power of the fire service to help pull her out on a Bank Holiday Monday.”
