A man has been seriously injured following an assault in Workington.
The incident happened on Washington Street, at around 4.50am on Sunday May 10.
The victim was punched by an unknown man.
The victim, in his 20s, remains in hospital.
Police said at this stage they had not identified a suspect and said officers were conducting enquiries to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Police said they would like to hear from anyone who seen the assault or may have relevant footage which could help the investigation.
