
Drivers are warned to expect delays today, Sunday May 10, as the Fred Whitton Challenge takes place in the Lake District.
Road closures will be in place until around 6.30pm from Blea Tarn to Hardknott Pass and The Struggle from Ambleside to Kirkstone Pass.
Now in its 24th year, the 112-mile Fred Whitton Challenge starts at Grasmere showground.
Around 2,500 cyclists this year are expected to take part and will take on iconic climbs like Kirkstone, Honister, Newlands, Whinlatter, Hardknott, Wrynose, and Blea Tarn passes.
