Three people have been arrested after drugs raids in Cumbria this month.
Cumbria police’s Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team, carried out three warrants this month in Penrith and Alston, alongside officers from operational support, dog section and intelligence.
One man in his 20s was arrested yesterday, May 13, after a warrant was carried out in Stricklandgate, Penrith.
He was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.
On May 1, following a warrant carried out in Market Place, Alston, two people – a man in his 40s and woman in her 30s- were arrested on suspicion of drug supply offences.
All those arrested have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Quantities of drugs and cash were also seized.
Eden Neighbourhood Policing Team said: “These warrants and searches have been conducted as part of our ongoing efforts to target and disrupt drug supply within our communities in Eden.
“Information we receive from the community is vital to help us build intelligence on drug use and take action against any illegal activity in our neighbourhoods.
“If anyone has any information to share, please speak to your local PCSO or local community beat officer for your area.
“We will not hesitate to take action where we suspect criminality is occurring in our communities and the results of these warrants should send a clear message to those involved in drug dealing – if you are dealing drugs, expect officers at your door.”
