A north Cumbrian road will be closed from Monday for urgent repair work.
Cumberland Council said the road between Scaleby and Barclose, near Carlisle, was deteriorating and work needed to be carried out as soon as possible.
Contractors are due to start work on Monday, June 1, for five working days, subject to weather and site conditions.
A signed diversion route in place.
Working hours will be between 8am and 4pm each day. The closure will remain in place on a 24-hour basis, although it may be removed outside of working hours if it is safe to do so, the council said.
During the work, vehicular access to properties within the works area will not be permitted, emergency service vehicles will be granted access if required and pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will still be able to pass through the area.
