Temporary traffic lights will be installed for work to be carried out on a Carlisle street.

Cumberland Council will be carrying out the essential work on the pavement of Etterby Street from Monday, June 22.

The work is estimated to last for around 25 working days, subject to weather conditions and site requirements.

It will be delivered in three phases of traffic management, between 9am and 4pm daily.

Planned phases of work

  • Phase 1 – Temporary two-way traffic lights June 22 to July 3 (Properties 73–39)
  • Phase 2 – Temporary two-way traffic lights July 6 to July 17 (Properties 37–9)
  • Phase 3 – Lane closure July 20 to July 24 (Properties 9–1)

During Phase 3 of the works, there will be no access to Etterby Street via Scotland Road.
