Officers are currently looking for an elderly man who appeared confused while out walking near Carlisle.

Cumbria Police said it has had a report this afternoon of an older man looking confused while out walking in the area of Great Corby.

While officers are searching for the man to check he is ok, they are asking anyone who sees someone who this might be to politely check on them and then contact us on 999 so police can help them.

The nan was described as being white, in their seventies or eighties, wearing shorts or boxer shorts and a vest, with trainers. Police have also had subsequent information to suggest they were wearing a tracksuit top or jacket.

A spokesman said: “There is no suggestion the person has been harmed or hurt but we’d just like to check they are ok as the person contacting us was concerned about them.

“If the person sees this report and thinks it is about them, we’d ask them to contact us on 999 so we can check everything is ok.”
