
TV chef Rosemary Shrager will appear at Taste Cumbria Maryport next month.
Rosemary, who appeared on the television shows Cooking With the Stars and I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!, previously starred in Rosemary’s Chopping Block, The Big Family Cooking Showdown, The Real Marigold Hotel and Ladette to Lady.
When she is not cooking, she writes murder mystery novels.
The festival will be the second Taste Cumbria event of 2026 following Taste Wigton which took place in April.
The festival will take place in Saturday August 8 and Sunday August 9, and Rosemary will appear at 11am on Saturday.
The event will be held at the Marine Road showfield and the Harbourside event space.
The event space will feature a demo stage, The Teenage Market and live music.
The showfield will host a producers’ market, hot food court, a festival bar operated by Maryport Round Table, the main music stage and children’s entertainment.
The festival will also include hot and cold seafood traders, an oyster bar, fresh fish from the Chelaris boat, sea shanty bands, storytelling and roaming street theatre.
The Taste Cumbria events are organised by Cumberland Council.
Further Taste Cumbria festivals will be held in Cockermouth on September 26 and September 27, followed by a Christmas festival on December 5 and December 6.
