A five-day closure is planned for a north Cumbrian village road for resurfacing.
Cumberland Council said work will start on the B5299 at Hodden Croft in Caldbeck, on Monday July 20, subject to weather and site conditions.
The project is part of the authority’s £27.3 million investment in highways for 2026/27, which includes £2.85 million dedicated to residential and rural roads.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout the closure.
Pedestrians and cyclists will continue to have access through the site and will be escorted safely through the area by traffic marshals where required.
Waste and recycling collections will continue as normal.
