Work is set to start to resurface a Cumbrian village road later this month.
DSD Contracting, working on behalf of Cumberland Council, will start work on the B5302 in Abbeytown, between Wigton and Silloth, on Monday July 27.
It is expected to take around five days to complete, subject to weather and site conditions.
Access for residents will be limited during working hours of 7.30am to 6pm.
Traffic marshals will be on site throughout the work to facilitate access to properties where it is safe to do so.
Access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained throughout the scheme, and pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will continue to have access through the site. Waste and recycling collections will continue as normal.
