Craig Cook, who was replaced in the Workington Comets line up last month, has qualified for the British Final.
The WWest Cumbrian, who is still currently unattached, finished third in Sunday’s semi-final at Leicester.
Anders Rowe headed the qualifiers for the British Final as the Sheffield and Oxford rider won the event after scoring 13 points.
Jason Edwards, who was unbeaten from his first four rides, finished last in Heat 20 and like former British Champion Cook finished with 12 points.
Cook had two wins and three seconds so had to settle for third s[pot on the podium behind runner-up Edwards who had four wins.
Drew Kemp, who replaced Cook ion the Workington side, safely reached the Belle Vue showpiece with 11 points, and the list of qualifiers was completed by two teenagers who will both now make their British Final debuts.
Jody Scott put in a strong performance throughout the day to score 10, whilst Will Cairns made a dramatic recovery from a last place in his first ride to take the final qualifying place ahead of Jake Mulford in a run-off after both scored nine.
The British Final will take place on Saturday August 15 at the National Speedway Stadium with the full line-up to be confirmed soon.
