Three fire crews tackled a HGV trailer blaze near Carlisle in the early hours of this morning.
Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service was called at around 12.05am to the A689 at Houghton.
A spokesman said: “A casualty was administered oxygen therapy for smoke inhalation by fire service personnel. The casualty declined any further hospital treatment. Crews were detained over one hour.”
