A person was airlifted to hospital with burns after a car fire on the A596 near Maryport.
Aspatria Fire Station said crews were called to the incident, near the former Ellenbank Hotel, on Monday, June 29, at around 10am.
The station said: “The fire was out on arrival so crews made sure the scene was safe before assisting our colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service with a casualty who had suffered burns.
“The casualty was transferred to hospital via the Great North Air Ambulance.”
