Dog rescued from Carlisle house blaze

fireenginefront[A]t 2:19pm today, Thursday 27 April firefighters were called to a house fire on Briar Bank in Carlisle.

A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Crews gained entry to the property, rescuing a dog.

“All people from the house were accounted for.

“Firefighters, two wearing breathing apparatus, used a hose reel jet to bring the fire under control.

“They then ventilated smoke from the premises.”
