[C]arlisle Civic Centre’s Council Chamber will host the 2017 Mayor Making Ceremony on Monday 15 May.
Carlisle City Council’s Full Council will vote on which Councillor they would like to see as Carlisle’s new Civic ambassador, with the chosen candidate sworn in as Mayor and then subscribing to the Ancient Mayoral Oaths of the City.
The Leader of the Council will also be appointed.
The successful candidate will then appoint the Portfolio holders within the Executive Committee.
