[T]he Eden District Councillor for Alston Moor, Thomas Sheriff (Liberal Democrat Group), has with effect from 16 May 2017 resigned from being a Ward Councillor for the area.
Thomas Sheriff was elected in a by-election in August 2016.
Eden District Council’s Deputy Chief Executive and Monitoring Officer, Matthew Neal, said: “Following the receipt of Councillor Sheriff’s resignation, a Notice of Vacancy will be published in due course. The By-Election will take place after the General Election.”
