Free Bank Holiday fun for all the family at Upperby Gala

Hulya[T]his year’s Upperby Gala is set to be a wheelie great family event.

The programme for the popular community gala will include dramatic twists and turns by a BMX stunt rider, a mountain bike trick rider and freerunners, The Mobile Bicycle Events riders have previously featured on ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent.

Organised by Carlisle City Council, Upperby Gala, will provide fun for all the family on Bank Holiday Monday (29 May), between 1pm and 4pm.

The free event will be held at Hammond’s Pond. This year’s programme will include a vintage vehicles Parade and hands on activities from Carlisle College and Tullie House.

There will also be local charity stalls, the chance to sample sports activities, free dog micro-chipping and advice on environmental issues, such as how to recycle.

Other activities include children’s entertainers, a fun fair, an owl magic display, a model railway and much more.

The Upperby Gala has free admission and will open between 1pm and 4pm. Food stalls will be providing refreshments throughout the event.
