[A] TEENAGER who admits burgling a Workington mobile phone shop and stealing electronic equipment will be sentenced next month.
Gaij Ray Murdoch, 19, had denied committing a break-in at the town’s Mobile Booth store. But when he appeared at Carlisle Crown Court today (TUES), Murdoch, of Brayton Street, Workington, changed his plea and admitted the offence.
This is said to have been committed between February 20 and 23rd, when mobile phones, accessories and other items – valued at a total of £4,665 – were stolen.
Murdoch was remanded in custody, and will be sentenced, at the crown court on July 11, along with another man with whom he is jointly charged.
He is 21-year-old Scott Motum, of Firth View Walk, Workington, who admitted the burglary charge at a magistrates’ court hearing earlier this year.
