[A]t 10:08am today, Thursday 29 June firefighters were called to rescue a person who had become trapped after a floor collapsed at an industrial unit on Green Bank Road, Penrith.
Two fire engines, one from Carlisle West and one from Penrith, attended the incident which was on the first floor of the building.
A spokesman for Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crews assisted paramedics to remove the casualty and used a working at height pack and a paraguard stretcher to remove the casualty who was then handed into the care of the paramedics.
“Crews were detained at the scene for one hour and 30 minutes.”
