Storrs Hall

[W]ith the Windermere One Way Swim set for September 3, there is no better place to catch the action than at Storrs Hall, on the shores of Lake Windermere.

Over 130 swimmers from across the country will take on the challenge of the Windermere One Way Swim starting and finishing at two stunning National Trust venues, Fell Foot Park and Low Wray. Proud partner of the event, Storrs Hall will be home to an official feed station for both swimmers and spectators to enjoy the half-way point.

Set within 17 acres of outstanding natural beauty, Storrs Hall not only provides direct access from the shore, but also serves as the perfect half way point, marked by the protruding National Trust-owned historic landmark, The Temple. Spectators can enjoy morning tea and lunch with views of Windermere and the Lake District fells beyond. Swimmers can refuel and recharge their batteries for the second half of their epic journey on location at Storrs Hall with the Windermere One Way Swim providing special energy foods.

For those looking to make the most of the Lake District, which has just received UNESCO World Heritage status, Storrs Hall is offering swimmers and their supporters 10% off stays during the Windermere One Way Swim period. Guests can make the most of the hotel’s recently enhanced bedrooms and suites or experience the recently launched Boat House, which comes complete with a stylish lake-view bedroom, al fresco dining, fire pit and hot-tub.

Before or after this tough 10-mile swim, participants and their supporters can fuel up at the hotel’s restaurant, which serves delicious locally inspired dishes, or enjoy laid-back dining at the Tower Bar, which has just introduced a new menu of classic British dishes. If aching limbs allow, Storrs Hall is the perfect base from which to explore the delights of the Lake District by foot, bike or boat.

Storrs Hall, an official partner of the Windermere One Way Swim, is offering swimmers and their supporters 10% off for stays during September. To book call 015394 47111 and quote promocode SWIM10.
