[S]unday, August 20th, see the biggest motoring event of the year in Cumbria when around 750 vintage, classic and motorsport cars gather at the wonderful setting of the Dalemain near Penrith (reached via the A592 to Ullswater).
The organising Wigton Motor Club are once again pleased to see the increase in the number of entries. John Graham, the car entries secretary, said that individual entries were up by 60 cars while Marian Sloan, who co-ordinates the visiting clubs, reported six new clubs attending. Trade stand numbers are also increasing year by year.
Featured this year and rally cars, super cars and performance cars. The popular autotests will be taking place all day and the usual self-judging of cars in each class will lead the final vote by other owners for the Car of the Shoe award.
Anyone attending will also be able to get discounted admission to the wonder Dalemain mansion and famous gardens.
Entries for the Show are now closed and no entries are taken on the day.
Admission is £7.50 for adults, children are free and dogs are welcomed. The Show opens at 11.00am and closes at 4.30pm.
