[P]olice are continuing to investigate the sudden death of a man in Ulverston.

The death is still being treated as unexplained at this time, and enquiries are ongoing.

Emergency services attended an address on Weston Avenue at approximately 1.10am yesterday morning (August 24th), after reports that a man had been found deceased in the property.

Due to initial concerns that there may be unknown substances at the address, precautions were taken to mitigate any potential hazards.

Cumbria Fire and Rescue confirmed that the property was safe and that there was no risk to members of the public at around 5am yesterday morning.

Police would like to thank residents of Weston Avenue and of Ulverston for their patience.

There is no further information at this time but information will be released when available.
