[A] MAN and woman accused of conspiring to supply drugs at this year’s Kendal Calling festival are to go on trial in the new year.

Lee Clayton, 45, and 38-year-old Tracey Joanne Tomlinson faced a string of allegations when they appeared at Carlisle Crown Court.

They are each charged with conspiring together to supply a quantity of cocaine, ecstasy and also psychedelic drug Lysergide – all class A substances – along with class B ketamine and cannabis.

The alleged offences are said to have occurred between July 26 and 31 this year, at the Lowther Deer Park music event site near Penrith.

Clayton and Tomlinson are also alleged to have been in possession of criminal property – namely cash – between the same dates. Clayton is further charged with offering to supply cocaine on July 29.

During a brief appearance before Judge Peter Davies, the pair entered not guilty pleas to every single one of the charges they face.

They were told their trial, which is estimated to last four to five days, was due to start at the crown court on January 8 next year.

In the meantime Clayton and Tomlinson, both of Bayley Street, Clayton-le-Moors, near Accrington, were granted conditional and unconditional bail, respectively.
