Teenager hurt in Botchergate attack

[P]olice are investigating an assault which occurred on Saturday 16th September 2017 on Botchergate, Carlisle, outside Shanghai Shanghai at approximately 22:30pm. During this incident, the male victim, 18, from Carlisle, was punched to the face which resulted in him suffering a broken jaw which has required surgery.

The offender is a white male, aged late teens to early twenties, he had a slim build, short hair and he was wearing dark trousers and a red coloured t-shirt.

Police are looking for witnesses who may have seen the incident occur and who can help identify the offender.

Anyone with information should call DC 2325 Naomi Smith on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800555111.

Police are also investigating an assault that happened at Milanos Pizza on Botchergate, Carlisle around 01:20am on Friday 8th September 2017, where a male received cuts and bruises to his head. In particular, police would like to speak with a blonde haired male aged early 30s who is believed to have been in the area at the time.
