[P]enrith Canoe Club entered teams in 3 leagues this Winter; Division 3 North, of the National League, and both Division 2 and Division 3 of the local North West & Central Canoe Polo league.
Last Saturday saw the Penrith A team travel down to Liverpool Docks to play their first Division 2 North West & Central tournament.
In pleasantly warm and sunny conditions they played 5 matches; managing draws against Manchester Wildcatz (4:4) and Ulster (2:2), wins against Red Rose A (3:2) and Trentham B (5:2) and a loss to the host club Friends Of Allonby D (2:5), mainly due to goals scored while a player was yellow carded for 2 minutes.
