[P]olice have confirmed that the man who died in a collision on the A66 this morning has been identified as Darren Moore, 43, from Whitehaven.
His next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
Police would like to speak to anyone who may have been travelling along the A66 westbound at around half past midnight and have information about the incident.
