Multiple fines have been issued in the Lake District for outdoor anti-social behaviour as the summer holidays begin.
South Lakes Neighbourhood Police said officers have been on patrol around Windermere this week, and have engaged with multiple people fly-camping around the lake, having fires and leaving large amounts of litter.

A number of fines have been handed out to two groups of people for breaching the Public Space Protection Order in the area.
Officers are asking people to be responsible when visiting the area and obey the following rules:
- Park appropriately
- Camp only in designated areas
- Take your litter home
- Do not use BBQ’s or have open fires around the lake
